This is how everything is hooked up but my radio cuts on and off like there is a short. The diagram above is how its been hooked up since it was bought. There is a green and purple wire that comes from the switch (which cuts radio on and off)

Ground and Power at top is a 3 splice box thats ran to back of boat. 2 amps are hooked up right but I'm not Daimler using these boxes for a switch

I realize its the 4th but its a monsoon here so if anyone is familiar with this type of stuff please fire away and give me some feedback

It's hard to pin point an intermittent problem over the internet. It could be a loose wire... but since it's a boat... it could be a bad radio also.

Are the amps cutting on and off too? If they aren't... then it's the wiring going to the radio only. So look for a loose connection at a plug on the radio.

One amp would basically cut on and off. However it would cut back on when I would wiggle and hold that box the wires run to from the switch. The problem lies there. To me looking at the diagram it doesn't make sense for 1 remote wire to be right below one of the fuses instead of on bottom row where the other remote wires are. Plus the two wires from the switch seem like maybe they should both be connected under each fuse.

What about a ground? Since there is power running to that board shouldn't there be a ground?

It could be just a bad switch box (where all wires are running)

I thought about just by passing the box and tossing it and just running radio power wire straight to the main power source (like each amp is) and then running a wire to each amp from the remote wire from radio.

I just really don't see why this was installed when I have a battery switch on back for battery 1 battery 2 Both and OFF. Doesn't seem necessary because my amp and radio won't run continuously anyways when I turn that corresponding battery (2) off

OK... you are asking about "That board"... and I can only assume it's where you have the fuses drawn. But... since there is unknown connections... I'm not exactly sure what it's doing. I don't think it would need a ground of any kind. But, if it's suspect... take it out, and just make the connections to see if it gets better.

Yes the whole middle part of diagram where the wires are connected as well as the 2 fuses is (I assume) a fused power distribution box. It allows me to cut radio and amps off when I'm running the boat. That's why I don't really see why it's needed.
