it pretty tough to get dowd to install the hose to flush then I ve been told on the 97 gti leaving a quick connect flush fitting can restrict the outflow of cooling water through the motor but were the 4 tec is only raw water is it an issue?

Correct me if I'm wrong but when I look at the cooling system schematic for a 2011 4 tec in the service manual it shows the flush line as in only so there must be a check valve on the thru hull fitting only letting water in when you flush the exhaust. So if you installed the flush kit on that line and only that line only before any tees or components that need cooling I don't see a water flow restriction issue.

Now if you forget to reconnect it after flushing or the fitting disconnects on its own and your out riding you then would be pumping a lot of pressurized water into your hull because you don't have a check valve before the fitting any more.

I remove mine as it is a smaller diameter than the OEM line.

whats the point in using it if you don't leave it on like a outboard just pop the hose on ?

I find id hard enough so kneel down between the skis on the floating ports its hard enough hust to get the hose on alone. to install a quick fitting first suld be twice the contorting for a old fat guy

To twist a garden hose onto the fitting of the ski is challenging. A quick disconnect is easy and then snap the hose one.

I see what your saying Joe, I don't know why they hide it way inside rather then a easy to reach spot . ive for a short 2 foot hose I used with a quick shut off I get it in then can attach the hose to it after standing. starting then turn the watwr on .I thoug maybe I could leave a shorter hose on that just stuck out by the jet to make it easuer and leave it on as long as it wasn't a narrow hose
