hey guys i posted 2-3 weeks ago that my boat wasnt starting, thought it was the plugs or coils etc etc....took it to a mechanic and after he tested everything he came to the conclusion that i had water in my gas. of course i had just filled it up. now when water and gas separate the water is at the bottom.....and im assuming that the gas line is at the bottom of the tank? is it safe to say that if i take out like 5-8 gallons that i should get all the water out? then put in a water remover and i should be good? please let me know.....cause removing 22 gallons is gonna suck......

It really isn't that simple. The fuel pump is electric and mounted at the top of the gas tank.
It extends down and pulls fuel from the bottom of the tank thru the output line at the top of the fuel pump.

This video may give you a better option, assuming there isn't a ton of water I there.

Otherwise, you could try siphoning from the bottom with a hose to get to the water.

If it were my boat; I would get every drop I could out, let it separate, and put the actual fuel back in with some added Isopropanol.
The only reason I would even consider the Isopropanol fix or reusing the actual fuel is that I really don't have a means of discarding the whole lot.
