Hi there..

I own a rxt-x 09 jetskie, my question is when i started the engine up the rpm goes up to 1750rpm... is it normal ? or i have to make it down to 1200/1500 rpm? ... and whats the full speed number? mine 70mph top speed...

waiting for you guys, thanks.

That is totally normal. I have an RXP-X and my parents had an 08 RXT-X and both idled at that RPM
Also, I've gotten my RXP-X up to 72 one time but it tops out at 70.

you guy need to GPS it top speed is 68 dont go buy the dream meter. All pwc are limited to just under 70mph

Why are the PWC limited to just under 70mph?

When i was in the mediteranian last year, i was riding 08 RXP-X and i topped out at 76-78mph. They were stock and not modified in any way.

PWC manufacturers have a sort of gentlemen's agreement with the Coast Guard to electronically limit the max speed of these watercraft to around 65 mph. That speed can be reached extremely fast and could be exceeded if not for the electronic speed limiters that are installed. Maybe in Europe they don't care about the safety concerns. I'm sure if you really wanted to you could remove the limiter almost like a car, but i have no idea how to go about doing so

The speeds are limited to 70MPH for safety purposes. I haven't seen many spedos accurate unless you use a GPS. The only way to change the rpm's of any seadoo is via the software at a sseadoo dealer. Stock seadoo are at the limit usually from the factory.

Were you using a GPS? Or just the dreamometer?
