Hey Guys So the boat is finally running great and I am happy the long road of hassles is over lol

Had it out this weekend and it was amazing!

Went and got gas at the marina had the fan on and forgot it on when i started going :O oops lol.

Once I noticed I imm3diately shut it off and prayed for no damage. Everything seems the same except the bilge pump no longer works damnit lol .

Checked the fuse and it is fine. Need a new pump no porblem.

Just want to confirm that the pump for a 1996 Challenger is the Rule 500 GPH pump before I order one.

Can someone please confirm?

Do you have an on/off switch for it?....some are automatic and come on only when there is too much water in the hull.

Once you have it out, test it.

It should say what pump it is on the top of it, 300, 500, 750 etc

Yeah there is an on off switch at the helm. Does not work lol To test it can i just hook it up straight to the battery or my car battery? both 12 v so it should just work right?

That is correct you can jump it off any 12 volt battery.

If working check for voltage coming from the switch.

awesome thanks guys. i dont have the boat til later. can anyone confirm that it is a 500 GPH pump?

I do know in ours it was 460gph. I`ve upgraded to the 800 Rule pump, I think it was the 20R model, this fit perfectly in the blue basket just like the OEM size... if you can upgrade go for it...

to test your pump, close the drains and fill the back of the boat with water over the pump and see if it kicks on, if not test to see why...

Do what pale said and once full and still does not kick on take the hose at full blast up close and spray the two sensors.... These boats leak so many different oils and etc...sometimes that's all it needs...hope it's that easy...mine ways...
