I just bought this 96 XP a couple months ago, I knew it needed some impeller repair. So anyway I pull the pump, and its all aluminum with the bronze vanes, is that an original pump for a 96 or has someone changed it out with some other year? Searching Ebay it looks like most of the pumps listed for the 96 are plastic with the bronze vanes. What years did they use the aluminum pumps, I want to make sure I get the right replacement parts, bearings, seal, shaft.

The aluminum pump would be older.
The 96' should have the plastic and bronze pump.

Is the aluminum one considered a better pump? Why would someone change to that?
Maybe a little off subject but why isn’t there anyone that shows a parts fiche for 95 and older?

I can't remeber if the aluminum one seals correctly as it was glued to the hull with RTV whereas the newer ones had a pump shoe that then mated to with a foal seal.

RIVA yamaha has the OEM parts diagrams back to 89'.

Aluminum will work skat uses the housing to make 140mm mag pumps take some pictures of it and post up

I thought I would post a picture of the vanes in this pump and seeF1DC695F-E275-4B21-8702-19A6C305B615.jpeg60A9A7B8-DA82-4FE9-B51C-6D3881EFADBA.jpegEFBEFC3F-9C86-40A8-8751-EC5346F07C69.jpeg what you guy’s think of the condition of them. They are pretty dinged up and a couple are bent.
I will include a pic of the impeller, I’m wondering how bad can they be and still be repairable?
