Puff of smoke

Guys:
This is on my 2011 GTI 155 LTD.

My machine sets on a jet port for a week between rides. When I start it up, I get a puff of blue oil smoke. I get no smoke that I can see while riding and none when I start it up after a shutdown during the ride.

It has Amsoil in it. The ski now has 117 hrs.

Anything to be concerned about?

Thanx

Oil is between the 2 bends on the dipstick. Closer to the top. Amsoil is from PO. I need to check the service slip, but if I recall, it is 10w-40 marine.

You can try taking some oil out so it is at the bottom of the dipstick for testing but it doesn't sound like that is the issue. Have you done a leak down test? Or at least a compression test? It sounds like oil is leaking into the cylinders after it is shut off.

I have not performed any of those tests. It runs fine, otherwise, so I did not suspect compression. I agree it sounds like a small leak after shutdown. It reminds me of automotive valve seal leakage.

The oil itself looks brand new. I will pump a little out of there to get it closer to the bottom of the range.
