Pto grease fitting WTF

Is there a certain type of grease cupler you use, I can't get anything on it I bought a needle as well but it just comes straight out. What do you guys use?

I just used a cheap grease gun from harbor freight with its standard zerk coupler on the 720 engine on my Sportster 1800 yesterday

Yeah just the standard zerk fitting slips over the little nipple. I find it pretty easy slipping it on, but pulling it off tends to be a mission on its on :lol:

Are yo saying the grease comes out of the Zerk when you put it in?

Take a small drift punch to the ball on the zerk, then hit the drift with a small hammer. The ball could be locked and won't allow grease into the zerk. I see it all the time

Thanks everyone, The third one down in the picture i posted worked the best. how full do you usually go? I pumped three times, though with each pump the shaft moved backwards. Is there a limit or what is the best indication it has the right amount of grease?

Pump it until the shaft JUST stops moving. The boot should look like a chick who's 5 months prego, just a bit rounded, LOL.
