I had my engine rebuilt after a cylinder decided to disintegrate. Due to shoulder surgery, it sat in the shipping container for last season.

Got everything put back together, started and ran it in my driveway on the hose with no issues. Towed it 6 hours to the lake and put it in to find two issues:

Went to back away from the launch and every time I put it in reverse, the rpms would rev way up and no motion. Right after that, realized no water from the pisser in the back. Shut it down and towed it back to the house.

Pulled the controls to make sure the drive didn't bounce something with the cables. Double checked the cooling hose routing, all good. Started it quick on the trailer and moved the F/N/R lever and no more revving. Shut it down and went back through the cooling circuit. Pulled the driveshaft cover to make sure the it was spinning as that was the last thing I could think of as to why no water being pulled in. That's when I saw the PTO was spun free of the lower end and still attached to the drive shaft. The drive shaft was checked previously with the plugs out and everything was spinning freely.

I'm up at the lake with limited tools. Is there any way to fix this without pulling the motor and sending it back to Pennsylvania? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Sorry for the long post and format, only have my phone to work with..

Put some rope down the rear spark plug hole to lock the piston and tighten the PTO with a pipe wrench.
