Problemwith my Seadoo XP

Hi All,
Sorry to bother. My Seadoo Xp Ltd was running fine a month ago. I disconnected the positive terminal before I stored it. I have a problem with it to dousing it again. It consistently misfires and cuts out when I accelerate. I have cleand up the battery terminals and and the cable connectors. The bike is starting first time and runs fine and revs fine on the trailer.
When I put it in the water I can take it to 2000rpm fine. When it gets to 3000rpm just starts to misfire slightly and the rev counter a bit jumpy. The movement I start to accelerate it cuts out and will only restart if I take the key out and put it back in. (Reset?)
I can now longer get it above 4/5000 rpm it immediately cuts out.
Any quick thoughts on what I can do?
Cheers
Neil

When you go to start it, does it turn over like the battery is good or does it crank slow?
If it cranks slow, check the charging system.
What do the plugs look like? White, brown?

Thanks for your response. The bike starts no problem and revs fine on the trailer. Battery and charging circuit. The plugs look normal and black.
When I rev the bike on the trailer the voltage hoes up to 14.82 volts. When I accelerate in the water it starts to splutter and cut out. It will then only start if I rest the key.
I was thinking it could be the volltage regulator (incorporated into the MPEM unit on the XP limited) Is the voltage to high.
Regards
Neil
