Went riding today, after a lap aroud the lake came in and pulled seat off and had 3" water in the hull! Drained and hooked up flush kit and notice water coming from a hole in the bottom of the regulator valve on the muffler. When I pulled it apart the bellows was ripped. Not one dealer in my area had one. Question is what does it do and can I ride if I join the 2 rubber lines together?

NO, if you do you will cook the engine. The Water Flow Regulator Valve does just that. It controls the water flow so it won't over heat. If you connect the cooling lines you will more than likely over heat the engine and possibly seize the engine. Get the bellows replaced and go from there. If you can't find one at your local dealer, we have them here www.seadoowarehouse.com. It may take a day to get it, but better than blowing the engine. Let us know if you get in a jam.

Thanks for the help. I didn't think you could do it but you know the crazy ideals that go through your head when you have the day off work and its a beautiful day on the lake and your sled is broke! I did buy the part from the warehouse and will have it today. Thanks again Karl.

Sorry Karl, must be the snowmobiler in me!! Still have a major problem. I installed new regulator when hooked to the hose no leaks. put the sea-doo in water drive for 20 minutes and have 3-4 inches of water. Can't see a leak from any of the hoses. There is 1 hose that hooks to exhaust where it exits boat then runs its way under motor. where does it hook to and could that be the problem? Or does anyone have any ideals what I can check next?

I' don't have access to a manual for the cooling circuit in front of me, I'm on a friends puter with dial up....what a joke...anyway, Follow the loose line from the exhaust to a open nipple I believe by the exhaust manifold. If memory serves me right the manifold has a connection for that cooling line. I would give it a real good check over for any open connector to be sure. I'll look at the manual later at home, after I get set for the incoming hurricane due here Monday or Tuesday...

Found the problem, it was a loose exhaust manifold bolt. when running a full throtle water would squirt out through the gasket and manifold. Couldn't see it while hooked to hose, found it by riding without the seat for a minute.
Karl, good luck luck down there.

That's a good thing you found the problem. The Tropical Storm "Fay" came ashore south of us, and we are just getting a little bit of rain and slight gusts of winds. My speedster is all snug in my concrete block garage.

Thanks for the concern.
