As I am breaking in 2 new engines from SBT their instructions call for me to run 50:1 premix in the gas tank for the first 10 gallons of gas through the engines.
So this got me thinking, in the Rotary engine world (RX7's and RX8's) our cars have oil injection directly into the combustion chamber, many of us also premix our gas to the tune of 1 ounce per 2-3 gallons just for some extra insurance. Many have great results and a lot of engine builders highly suggest this be done to add longevity to the engines.
So after my 10 gallons are up, I am thinking of adding a slight amount of premix to the gas just for a little more engine happiness.
Maybe along the lines of what I do with my car, 1 ounce for every 2-3 gallons.
Anyone else ever considered this or already do this?
