Premix

I have a 1997 GTX 787. When I purchased it I noticed the oil injection pump was not installed just sitting on the floor in the engine bay. Someone had broken the mount bolts flush with the case. The previous owner had disconnected the throttle cable to the pump. Is it safe to just run premix instead of fixing the injection pump mount?

You can run definitely run premix, just make sure you cover up the injection pump mount so water doesn’t get in there and ruin things. The pre mix shouldn’t mess up the carb tuning at all, it’s just if you idle for a while you might experience some loading up, what I do for that is before I take off I blip the throttle like twice and then it’s good.
