I have found a complete replacement motor with about 50 hours on it, however, it is the sportjet 175 versus the 210 model I have now. My original block is cracked. Is the essentially the same engine? It is a year 2000 model as well. Are their any major differences in these 2 engines? Am I looking at a substantial power loss? Is the intake carbs and accessories what makes the engines H.P. different? It looks as if they have the same displacement. This Engine has 50 hours on it and the guy wants 2K. Please let me know what you think. If I did this, I can possibly weld up the old block and resleeve it, and rebuild as time permits. I would have less in these 2 engines than if I bought a 4500 reman. powerhead. Please let me know what you think, or if their is any comparative documents on these engines that I can study.
Thanks all, I look forward to your replies.

Sincerely,
Eric

I'm getting the same feeling bro ! I was in the exact same situation and called everybody in town to get a straight answer and even now i not 100 % sure . Here is what i found out , the crankshaft output is not the same so you will have to use your old crankshaft or from a similar block used in Seadoo jetboat . The intake and exhaust passages is what changes the hp ratings of this engines but i have also seen different heads being used and there not interchangeable as some have gaskets and others O RINGS .
I did a lot of research before forking out for a NEW ENGINE . I came to realize that there was not cheap way of getting this engine running . The engine rebuild kit alone was over the top ! and with all the parts i needed it was still going to cost me at least 3 grand . I shopped around i found a brand new engine * not rebuilt for around 3700 . Good luck and if you need any advise please feel free to contact me .
