Hey All,
Troubleshooting a rough smoky idle, and found some readings that i want to bounce of someone else before i go throwing parts at it. Tested Temp Sensor according to the Service Manual, @3k Ohms at Freezing, @ 1.1k Ohms at room Temp. All seem within Specs. The manual states to measure resistance across the Tan/Black wires. So far looking good.
Second test says to check for continuity between each lead and ground, and there should be none. Both Tan/Black wires show No Continuity, which checks out per Manual; but the Tan/Blue lead is showing @900 ohms to the Balck Wire. Maybe i am reading too much into the manual, but i would assume there would be continuity between the black lead and ground..
That kind of ambiguity doesn't lend much faith in the service manual.. Looking for one of the experts here to say, Makes sense, Replace the damn sensor! Thanks all.
