After cranking the engine 10-15 times with no starting (didn't even sound close to WANTING to start...just cranked), I double checked the plugs...spark on both. the tank was full of old gas, approx a year so I figured it might be that but even with bad gas I figured I'd get some inkling of wanting to start. Anyway, decided to check the lines, yes, have the grey fuel lines. I pulled each one, the outlet, inlet and pulse from the carb and not ONE drop of fuel came out of any of them. My carb is getting NO fuel. The tip of the lines where it connects to the carb felt gummy. I may be new but shouldn't fuel be coming from these lines if everything were ok? Gonna need some help with this one. thanks

I would go to your local Auto-Zone, Advanced Auto or other automotive store and replace the Gray lines with 1/4 inch black fuel line. I recently did mine and I bought 21 feet for around 16 bucks and redid them all. I also bought an in-line fuel line for the lawn mower section, also a 1/4 inch and placed it close to the card so I could see the fuel flow.

You probably are going to have to take the card apart and find the little screen filter in there. It should be white and clean, but if it is gummed up it will be brown or black and gummy. If you are careful you can do all of this without a carb kit, however it might be worth the 40 bucks to get the kit because it has a new clean filter.

Hope this helps.

Do exactly what Vicious said. I just did my ski and it's actually pretty easy to do. Just replace one line at a time and you should'nt have any problems. Also clean out the fuel selector, the valve that select fuel on, off, or reserve, those gum up a lot. Good luck.
