Anyone know what the proper plug gap should be on a 1999 GSX RFI 787 that use NGK BR8ES? Sticker on the SeaDoo says gap should be .020". Shop Manual says gap should be .039". I see they come pre-gapped at .032".
As far as I know it should be .020". Are you looking at the Seadoo shop manual? The spark plugs are used in a variety of engines so what they come pre-gapped is of no consequence.
Thanks LouDoo, you are right. The shop manual specs the plug gap at .020 -.024. It was the operator's manual for the 1999 GSX RFI that has the typo and lists the plug gap at .039. Any one else aware of problems with the RFI fouling the plugs quickly at low speeds?
