I have a pair of 2007 GTI SE 130’s each with approximately 100 hrs. Last Season both ran fine with no issues at all. At the beginning of this season, I changed the oil and filter/plugs myself. One ski is running perfectly fine. The other starts and idles fine. After a few minutes of riding, it will beep 1 short beep then 1 long. According to the manual this means the ECM went into diagnostic mode. It will do this at varying intervals, sometimes back to back and sometimes after a or minute or more. If I let it idle, it will not make the beeps. I sat and circled near the boat launch for around 20-30 minutes with no beeps. After that within a few moments of giving throttle and getting on plane it would start the beeping again. To complicate things, the dash cluster stopped working (or is so faint I can’t read it) since last season.
I don’t believe the engine is overheating (no constant beeping) and seems to perform normally (aside from the beeping); starts fine, runs fine, no smoke, no unusual engine noise. Both skis are programmed to the same key and the issue persists regardless of which key is used.
Has anybody experienced anything similar? Any tips hints etc.? The last time I brought the skis to the nearest Sea Doo dealer/service to get the oil changed, they told me due to the age they didn’t really want to service them.
I live in Cape Canaveral if there is anyone local who is willing to lend a hand it would be greatly appreciated.
