Likely guessed it, one rounded... Challenger 210.

Anyone able to tell me if aluminum or stainless steel (211500001) - trying to decide whether want to attempt drilling / extractor and am a little more hesitant with stainless steel.

Seemed soft in the manner it rounded thus thinking aluminum... suggestions on how to remove welcome.

Thanks!

I had the same issue when I flushed my coolant a few years back. I sprayed 50/50 acetone and ATF on it a couple of times a day and then used a male extractor in the rounded out hex key slot to remove it. Worked fine.

Housing is aluminum, screw is stainless. Probably going to have to drill into the screw and use an easy out. If the screw is protruding a little bit you could try notching a line into it with a Dremel and using a flathead. A little heat on the screw can help.

Thank you. Apologies for delay in response (some reason could not see replies).

Awaiting the plugs and will try (was surprised how soft the plug seemed - proper tight bit and turned in it like butter - had used the proper pipe dope and torque too).

Thank you, appreciate the tips and encouragement.

There are screw extractors for stripped allen head bolts that don't require any drilling.
