Ok, last summer I bought a 89 and a 90 seadoo sp's and a double trailer for $250.00. I have the engines on the work bench and they are getting rebuilt with all new wsm parts and all new ignition parts. So I will know they will be reliable. Now the hulls are in decent shape...but, they are oxidized and chalky. I was wondering if I should just try to clean em up or maybe sand them down and paint them white put on new decals and then clear coat over the decals so I have that nice shiny finish again. What would you guys do? I don't want to put a million bucks into these things but I want them to look half decent and run well.

Gel coat?.

The coloring of our skis/boats is gelcoat, not paint. If you paint, it will be temporary. It will not stay for to long.

The best thing to do is find a nice compound and take out the oxidation and after cleaning it up, put a coat of nice wax on it.........
