What ski are you riding? Sounds like the impellar is coming out of the water on sharp turns which is normal especially on a spin.

98 speedster twin 787....starboard motor may quit at 2500 -3000 rpms but after it is past that 4- 6000 rpms runs great.

I’m a little confused. It sounds like you’re talking about two different issues. When you are making a sharp turn, the pump on the high side of the boat loses water pressure, or becomes “unhooked.” That’s normal and there really isn’t much you can do about it. The big issue at 2500-3000 rpms sounds like a fueling issue. It’s probably time to clean the carbs.

I would do all of them while you’re in there. They seem to go much faster once you’ve already got the tools out!
