Order Drain plug LED light for my Boat

Awesome writeup. And thank you for following up on my post. I like those lights as they have enough metal to transfer the heat away from the LED. I have seen some home made versions where they drill out the plastic plug and silicone the LED in place. Those a bit dubious for my taste both in heat transfer and seal.

Now what is a "Bought Drain plug block from Home depot $1.50" and why did you need it?

I went into their plumbing section and found drain plug stopper. The only reason, I put it so their no air leak or something. If you look at the picture, I've black rubber between the plug and fiberglass. I just used it to be extra careful (can't say NO my DAD when it comes to this kinda stuff HAHA)

John,

Our boat comes with plastic Drain Plug. I removed the plastic one out and put the stainless steel Drain Plug. Drain Plug fits perfectly on that one.

Sgoyal,
Does the light on the your boat look similar to the one on the Supra? Just curious if it can be seen with the Jet. Thanks!

Tmthunder, I've not been to Lake yet due to stupid rain. But here's the pix I took. . ignore the purple since my phone loves purple ( ask my daughter)

I'm planning to go this week if weather permits

Went to Lake at night yesterday to take pix. But I think while I was cleaning the boat. I put the stern light at home so I didn't go inside the lake. But here's the pix I took just backing in the water. The boat is on the trailer in the water.

It's just one light on sea doo. C180

Thanks sgoyal for the photo!!! Hopefully you didn't have to trailer to far to the lake and not get to use your boat.. I know the feeling... PM me when you get a chance as it appears your box is full.

Sent you pM.

Trailer was only 20 feet away. But my wife really wants to go out at night now because she really liked the way. It was calm

Hi, this sounds great. Do you have to make the drain plug hole bigger and drill your hull to install this?

I changed my boat plastic drain plug to garboard stainless steel. It fits perfectly in our boat. Let me know if you have any more question.

Oh, and what happened to the first lights you posted, do those fit the oem plug?

Our oem plugs are plastic and made with different thread. So I bought garboard drain plug to resolve the issue. It was plug and play except had to drill 2 tiny hold. Took about 5 minutes to remove and put the new plug.

I have both the lights. Blastled.com
