? on mpem for 97 Speedster

Can a bad Mpem cause one motor to run bad and the other to run fine? - or would they affect both?

I think one motor may have an out of phase crank - good spark - compression - but runs extremely rough - kind of back spits thru carb.

Will check phase tonight.

Unplug the rectifier and see if it clears up.

took motor out - rotary gear is slipping causing fuel timing to be screwed.
