i have a 1996 seadoo gtx 787 rotax.im waiting for the rest of my parts to arrive to put the engine back together.while waiting i was reading through my manual ,manual tells me how to test the oil pump, up to when it comes out check valves or injector. i bought another rotay valve cover(mine was worn a bit) the one i got has no lines on it now as it sits .when i take my lines from the old cover are there new crimp clips i can get or can i use tie wraps?i dont want these to leak or fall off. or do i have to buy new lines and clip? the line look ok but i need some direction ...

thanks

tie wraps?......

Get the small, electrical tie wraps. This will suffice since the pressure behind the oil pump is minimal.............

pumpline clips

i was going by the dealer the other day and stopped they had the original clips. so i picked some up. i never go to the dealer and guess what ?bought four clips for the lines and i feel like got raped. anyway just waiting for a crank to come in the mail, hopefully this week so i can get it going before it freezes up here to try it out and store it for the winter. the thing is in great shape with trailer $500.00 did fairly good on this purchase I think.

Sounds great!......

Sounds like you got a really good deal. But don't count your chickens before they hatch. The water test is the tell all about the deal.....

Make sure when you get it in the water, you check for the tell tale on water supply to the engine. It may be hard or none existant in idle, so give a some gas, then check it.......

But, even if you got a little something else to work on, wearing ring or the like, you still got a good deal........
