Well, i recently called the previous owner to ask what kind of oil he used to use, so i could use the same stuff, and he said he'd bring what he had left over. He brings it over, and it happens to be "west marine 2-Cycle Engine Oil TC-W3" It's ashless, it says it works for "all makes and models of outboard engines and personal watercraft engines"

Anyhow, i've burnt about half a tank of this oil so far, and he said he burnt about 2 gallons of it when he owned it, and i have no clue how much the other owner used before the guy i bought it from. Anyhow, the jet ski's been running flawlessly except for fouled spark plugs (and oil wet) by the end of the day. It's a 1997 XP. Anyhow, what my question is is how much damage has already happened, and what do i need to do before riding this jetski again?!

thank you so much, a fast response would be greatly appreciated. if you could talk to me on phone that would be great too.

is it possible for me to drain the rest of my tank out, put good API - TC injection oil in the tank, and just run the old stuff out from there? or do i need to get rid of ALL the tc-w3 from the lines? and would mixing the little bit be bad for the injectors?

Could i drain the tank the best i could, put good oil in it, and mix some gas with good oil so the engine gets double oil until the lines run out of tc-w3?

also, what damage do i have already?

Also, there is no signs that the engine is about to sieze except for the spark plugs foul by the end of the day.

my opinion..

2-stroke injection oil, is 2-stroke injection oil.

If worried, "beaker" out whats in the tank, then re-fill what you wanna run.

thats why I posted, "this is my opinion"....members here will say, DUMP THE TANK, PULL HOSES OFF...etc.

When i "premixed" my previous boats, I grabbed any oil I could find..store, gas station..etc, as long as it was "premix oil".
