On my new to me '96 speedster the oil injection system was removed by a PO. The guy I bought it from told me I have to use premix gas. My question is- I believe there still needs to be oil in the crankcase/ rotary valve, right? I have to look but I think maybe the hoses are just looped because there is no tank in the boat. So how much oil does it need and I guess I just put it in through one of the hoses? Obviously I am new to 2 strokes.

U can loop them as long you watch the oil in loop incase your seals leak or something like that so you don't run out of oil

There's a thread over on the pwc about a routine to "change" the oil in the rv chamber. Remember, it doesn't circulate. This change of the oil makes sense. Just something to think about.

Thanks guys. I'll look for that thread.

Edit: In case it matters, it has twin 720 motors.
