Good day all,
First I apologize if I am posting in the wrong section. I am new here and still have to get used to the navigation of the forum.

I have just purchased my 1999 sea doo challenger 1800 and of course it needs a few things.
I have a line on a guy with a parts boat which he is offering to pick anything I need from. But it is a 15 foot 1996 challenger.

My questions are;
My main part needed, the reverse cable is broken(Snapped), will his fit on mine?
My choke cable is also broken
Speedometer cable
rear seats

So I guess in a nutshell, are these parts compatible with my boat?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Neither the shift cable or choke cable will work. They won't be long enough.

The speedo isn't cable driven. It is a sensor on the ride plate with a little paddle wheel. The speed sensor should interchange between the boats. Check the wheel on your sensor, it's very common for them to fall off.

I don't believe the seats will interchange. The 1800 arm rests are separate pieces from the top seats, and the 14' Challenger has the arm rest and top seats as one piece. The bottom seat may work, but the 1800 seat has thicker center cushions and taller bolsters than the 14' Challenger

Just took some measurements on both boats, and it looks like the seat bottom should interchange between them. Both are about 54" wide

I wouldn’t buy 2nd hand cables. They have a life span of 5to 8 years and Best Buy new
Shop SBT or WSM performance parts are a little cheaper
