hello,
i just bought a 2002 gti le and have had it for a month. runs fine, a lot of fun. but what i noticed is that it's nose sits further in the water than other pwc. this results in lots more spash when i hit waves. is there a way to adjust my trim or install a vts on a gti le? any ideas? i've searched in the manuals and checked online and haven't been able to find anything.

thanks,

jeremy

What up Jeremy...cool setup,...theres a thread/post goin right now, about reset'n the nozzle, because theres oval bushings, think'n they can adjust it, maybe take a gander, see what you come up with...

hey, thanks tim. yeah, i wasn't sure if a honda would pull it, but it proved me wrong! i get crazy expressions when i drive it around town. which thread are you referring to? can you send me the link?

thanks,

yah, give me little bit,....also, had 90sp, tow'n it with CRX, first time to Salton Sea....people look'n/laugh'n..f-them, they jealous...

i pull a speedster with an accord wagon. i am toying with the idea of putting a vts nozzle on upside down and fabricating some kind of turnbuckle to manually trim it. the HX's had a knob on the back it looked like you cranked by hand. unfortunately the vts won't clear the reverse gate on top of the nozzle. if you could live without reverse (which is pretty useless) it would be easier to cob up something. i noticed the same thing (nose heavy) with my 97 GTI compared to my 93. the ski is about 100 lbs heavier. they moved the motor back a good 6 inches around your year, so they got tired of hearing the complaints. it is a much wetter ride. ok in july and august.

i pull my 03 gti with my mini cooper s. not too bad on the boat ramps. nice gas saver for the long drives to my cottage. i prefer to just drive in the lake with my jeep, makes it alot easier tho.....

yeah, i don't mind getting wet, but when the bay waves are 2-3 feet, i'm torpedo'ing through the water when i'm going slow. good thing they don't sink easily!! i was hoping that there was a way to fix it, or an aftermarket kit that could be installed... if anybody has an ideas, let me know. CRX, accord, mini cooper eh? alright i don't feel too bad with my civic! people pull them with big ass trucks and i roll in with my civic... i love it...

3 seaters don't have trim. they have reverse. if you wanna lose the reverse, you could buy a nozzle from any vts ski, and rig a turnbuckle to manually crank the trim up. you might have to put a bar across the top 2 pump mounting bolts to attach hull end of turnbuckle.

thanks for the info. i think i'll just leave good enough alone. i bought a $20 pair of polarized riding goggles and the splash ain't bad now! :)
