No Voltage

I can’t seem to install the starter all the way in. What can I do to install it all the way in? I don’t want to break it. Any suggestions

It should go all the way in by hand.
Try turning the PTO flywheel at the back of the engine. Grease the starter o-ring.
Make sure the rear starter support bracket isn’t catching the crankcase.

Ok, I took the starter out.
Now I can see that it was hitting the bolt hole flange of the starter. So it was slightly turned and would not go in. You were right.
Now trying to wiggle it back in, way too hard. It won’t just slip right in.
Note: the carburetors are still installed so trying to blindly install it. Going by feel.

If you do go ahead and instal the starter without removing everything use some grease or something sticky in your socket so you don’t lose the bolt while putting it in. Not sure about yours but on the 95XP your putting the bottom bolt in blind
