I have a 99 seadoo gti. i justreplaced the battery with a brand new one and its fully charged. When i put the key i dont get any beeps. I hit the start button and nothing happens. I actually took anoth battery that i know had a good charge and it still did nothing. I cant get it to do anything? Any advice

clean the landyard and post first, then try again. Maybe buzzer bad along with dirty connection. Is this ski yours, or you just get it. May be wrong/unprogrammed key.

its mine. i did just get it. i knew that battery was about shot when i got it so i replaces the battery. before i replaced it it would beep but not enough juice to turn it over. the terminals are good and clean and also tight.

that 5amp being popped, aint a good sign, stud..
If it pops as soon as you hit the button, or install it, then find the "rectifier" assy, and disconnect the red and yellow wires from it. If it still pops, then you need a new MPEM...:(
