Getting ready to fire up a rebuilt engine but am @ a stand still. Installed a new battery, plugs, checked fuses but cannot get it to even click. I tried jumping the starter but there isn't juice there to jump that. Can someone explain what is going wrong???

Thanks,
Jamie

First (easy one) make sure your new battery was fully charged before you put in in.
I assume your not even getting a click either.
Double check your DESS cap that is on there really good and that it is clean.
Let us know how you make out, could be alot of other things but start with the easy first.

Most seadoo battery's do not come with a charge. If you had to add the fluid into the battery from a separate bottle into the little red caps on top. You have to fill the battery then put it on a charger until fully charged. One battery I bought this summer was charged but it was a different kind. It should tell you on the box.

Do not do that. Do not charge the battery in the ski, bad things will happen.:reddevil:
Take it out, charge it up tonight. Fire it up tomorrow, be safe. Or go to Advance or Auto Zone and buy one that is charged in the box, but they are like $90.

You said you put a new engine in right. You got to get fuel lines filled up and ready to go. After you take the battery out of the ski and after it is fully charged and installed, pull sparkys turn it over a few times, put them back in and it should fire up with choke on.

what could be the worst result by charging the batt. while installed in the ski?

If you try to jump start or use a charger to while the battery is connected to the seadoo wiring it could surge the MPEM,(Multi Purpose Electronic Module) and possibly cause it to fry from the extra power from a active power source. Remove it from the seadoo and charge it in a well ventilated area. Be sure to connect the Positive cable first and then the negative cable so as not to cause a spark, which could cause a unsafe condition.(explosion) to disconnect unhook the negative first than the positive. Do the same when you reconnect the seadoo wires too.

Keep us posted on your progress.
