No beeps when key is connected but will turn over?

Hey everyone im still working on my 97 gti i just got batt install exaust ect i went to put key on and have no beeps/ but the engine will turn over didnt try to actually start it 100% just wanted to see first if i should move forward are is there a problem with my mpem any help i would appreciate thanks

The buzzer is dead. You can get a replacement from Radio shock for about $9. (The factory buzzer is $40)
