I have a 96 xp and took out the starter to check the bendix. My question is, with the starter out of the ski but still hooked up to the battery, will the ski electronics turn on and relay the starter to engage? The ski electronics doesnt even light up with it not attached to the engine block. I figured the ground from the mpem would be good enough to get the computer to come on or am I wrong? Does everything need to be reattached for me to get power?
