Looking to replace some parts on a 1995 xp and wondering is there is a difference between a 95 and a 96 parts?

It depends on the parts and which of the 95XP’s you’re talking about. There was a standard XP with the 717 engine, and the XP800 with the 787.

What are you looking to replace? All 717 motors are essentially the same, but different models used different intakes.

If you are looking to replace engine parts on your '95 with parts from a '96 XP, they won't interchange. The '96 has the 787 motor

Engine parts are not going to be compatible between the two, as they’re completely different designs. The jet pumps and control cables are also not compatible since the 95’ uses a pump extension while the others do not. The hull components are interchangeable, as well as a few items inside the hull such as the fuel and oil tanks, but it really wouldn’t be worth picking one up for parts unless it’s super cheap and you have extra room for a scrap hull...
