Greetings from Louisiana. I am an old school Sea Doo rider. My first purchase was a 1998 GSX Limited, purple and red. In my opinion, the best thing to ever come out of the sea doo factory. I let it go years back much to my regret, but I still have a 98 GTX LTD and a 98 GTX RFI, both great machines, but damn I miss the playfulness that the GSX LTD had to offer. You just can't get the same ride out of a 3 seater. I'd buy another one today if I could find a low hour well maintained one, but after looking around, my hopes are not high. What newer sea doo would you suggest that is as close to the hull design as the GSX LTD? :)

Anyway, just wanted to say hi....

a 96 xp or a 97-99 spx will give you a "funner" ride than your old gsx. check out "the x4 thread" here for more info on those ski's.

now to answer your question, none of the the new 4 stroke skis are as fun as the old 2 strokes. the 4's are heavier and just go fast in a straight line. sure they can go 70 mph, do your really WANT to go that fast on the water? they do not spin well, and when stuff goes wrong on them it get expencive quick.
