Just got a 99 speedster a couple of months ago and decided to post some pictures. Thanks to all that have replied to my questions and all the feed back has been greatly appreciated. I had to weld the pipes up and it seems to be running ok now. Could anybody tell what the top speed is on the speedster, the seller said 60 but im getting 52mph. Cant wait til next summer, and get it out on the lake since this is my first boat.

52-53 is right on. I GPS'd mine Solo on glass water and minimal breeze and low on fuel and just touched 53 for a second, so I consider it 52. I used a Garmin C340 GPS unit.

She looks MINT by the way.

Whoever designed that hull hit the sweet spot for esthetics :coolgleam: I'd say that's the most gorgeous model of two-strokers.

Nice boat! We purchased one just like it this year as well. Ours was minus one engine when we got it, but we managed to get it going and get it on the water once before this cool weather moved in. I'm going to post some pictures over the winter as I plan to pull both motors and replace all fuel/oil lines, and finish up the restoration/clean-up. Feel free to PM me with any specific questions you run in to along the way. I've had almost every component apart as I put this one back together. Can't wait to spend an entire season with it next year!

Thanks, i bought the boat from a guy who had it on the lake of the ozarks. I just recently got the pipes welded up and took it for a few test runs. These little boats get up an run pretty good, i was amazed at how it turns and picks up speed, should be lots of fun.

Picked a 99 speedster last week that needs a new shaft and mabey a pto. Winter project. Seats need new vinyl. Look foward to fun next season.

Rightiy tighty, lefty loosey. Rope down the cylinder or if the exhaust manifold is of stuff a rag in it, then apply steady pressure and it should spin right off.
