I just got back from fixing my previous problems on the seadoo now I have a new one. The seadoo was running awesome for a good 4 hrs then right when I get ready to go load them back up, it dies.

I was running WOT then it shuts down. No sputter, blog, boom or anything: It just shuts down. I hit the start button and all I get it a click, I try to turn prop but can't move it.

It sounds locked up to me, but it's on a fresh rebuild.

Just my luck.

no way=thats a bummer....grey shield, a plastic shield that covers the PTO and drive assy behind the engine in the compartment

I know what no way equals haha, The grey shield is what I was talking about. I don't know what parts are called or what the normally do, my experience with motors is ground use only. I am slowly learning water sports, thanks for spoon feeding me.

no-way.....alright stud, doesnt sound good, either motors locked up, or possibly the bearings in the pump housing are seized, which that will cause the starter not to turn motor, too...also, couldn't help notice the flush spigot right off head..that aint good either...1 more thing, where you video'n at first, the round disc where drive assy is, turn that by hand, maybe battery aiint got enuf juice to kick over...

Everything on the sea doo was done by previous seller, so I don't know what the spigot is suppose to look like.

I thought it was the battery also, check the volts 12.9. So for shits and giggles I put a jumper on it and stilll the same result.

I tried turning the wheel you are talking about by hand and nothing, how do I get to those bearings? I hope it's not the motor because this thing was really strong, I couldn't believe how fast this little thing was.

Is there a diagram for the motor? I can't find one on the web w/ purchasing something.

the motor is def. locked up, a bolt came loose from the plate that bolts to the carbs and took a ride in the engine, i pulled the motor and took the manifold off and the half moon shaped piece that spins around the carb intake has damage to it, i will post i pic later. i still havent found the bolt and ive now removed the jugs and pistons to try and find it but still no luck. i tried to split the engine case but can get the stator/flywheel or whatever its called off, i got the nut off and thats it. i think the bolt is lodged in side the gears that come off the crank to the shaft on the carb side. any info on removing the stator would be apreciated.

Spool...with everything off (jugs,..etc), take magnet fetcher and turn PTO clockwise, might fall down inside journal area...if wanna crack case, use the 3 bolts off exhaust pipe to manifold, and thread them in flywheel, then use steering wheel puller, keep crank'n til she pops. Then theirs a woodruff key on crank in between the flywheel, try not lose...also, mark the stator assy for reinstall'n...

i already tried the magnet and got some metal pieces from the bolt but the majority of the bolt is still lodged in side the gears or it has messed up the teeth of the gear. also there is scaring on the surface behind the rotary valve, is there a minimal clearence between the rotary and case or can i just clean it up with some sand paper and get a new rotary valve.

no way, stud...only way to clean on case side rotarface, is to tig weld, then sand smooth...there is a clearance.016 I believe, only side that can be worked or easy replaced is rotary cover side...sbtontheweb.com, real cheap, send in core..yah, maybe shot the rotary brass gear, if so, need new assy..you can knock down burs, but thats about it, but sounds like need rebuild, I'd turn to sbt or seadoowarehouse.com

thanks for the input, i still havent got into the case yet so there may be more damage to be exposed, do you run the 3 bolts until they bottom out through the flywheel or do you use them just to hold the steering wheel puller in place. would you reuse rings that have about 6-7 hrs on them or just get new ones
