New Model Coming Out

Pretty solid that there will be a new version of the SC Rotax going in the X models. Many also think a new 3 seater hull is coming since the S3 is pretty old now.

No evidence but lots of clamoring and wishing for a hotrod Spark.

This article has been out for a LONG time but an update was recently added that further points to the motor upgrade.

http://watercraftjournal.com/viciou...ea-doo-gains-boost-and-displacement-for-2016/

[Update 9/6/15 – Recently, sources reemphasized the likelihood of an “all new” Rotax powerplant, very similar to our initial predictions of a larger displacement ACE-inspired engine. Aftermarket performance parts manufacturers have reported needing to make “extensive changes” to their current Rotax 1.5L parts to accommodate the new engine. Increased displacement and a minimum of over 300-horsepower are still expected, but the addition of a new dual overhead camshaft cylinder head radically improves the future Sea-Doo’s longevity as a performance leader. – Ed]

Yea, there site is amazing... it has both TOO much crap, and NOT enough information.

that's a rare mix.

Yes there is a 300 HP RXPX and RXTX

The spark now comes in blue.

and I still love my 2002 XP more than ever $7200 MSRP in 2002.

RXPX is $15,000

If you wanted TWO top of the line skis in 2002, it was $15k out the door w/trailer.

Today it's $30,000+ trailer if not more.

WHO is buying these things?! For $30,000 I could have had a faster Tesla!

$30k goes a LONG way in the I need to get to work department. or even I want a bigger boat department.

They are on crack if they really think this is the way to go.

Sabre,
well, crazy enough, last Saturday, I watched a couple walk into the dealer, asked for TWO of the brand new GTX models there right now, the dealer said they only had one, so he went with the two new Kawis that have the speakers and radio console on the front. came in on a whim, walked out with $30k worth of skis and trailer... They were in their late 50's early 60's and never "tried" jetskiing and it looked fun..

Must be nice.

if you think 15K is a lot of money then you haven't visited an auto dealership lately !

my 99 durango, $2400, bought it in a convenience store parking lot...

2016 durango... $29,995 base price... , I can buy a bakers dozen of my 99 model for that. (I can almost buy one for just the sales tax cost)

I see the new Sparks and big money ski's all the time at Lake Erie. They launch them and they spend 3/4's of the day tied to an anchor. The old " look at me I, can afford these toys" syndrome.

In case there is someone who hasn't seen the spark up close and see how it separates, etc., because there's no under seat compartment, here are some pics
