Hello everyone! I do all my own repairs on pretty much everything I own and have found forums to be quite helpful for my cars. Now that my 2002 RX-DI is having some trouble running at high RPM, I'm registering for greater access to the troubleshooting content available here. I'm only getting 90-100 PSI of fuel pressure, so I'm going to start by replacing the pump / filters. If that doesn't help, I'll be back for advice :)

Yep, the DI ski LOVES its fuel pressure. Sadly, a quality pump is expensive.

Welcome aboard and thanks for joining.

Hi welcome. I am also new to the forum. How do you like the RX-DI?

I absolutely love it! It is lightyears ahead of my Dad's 92 XP in reliability and speed. It's almost as fast as the fastest skis on the river, and the handling and stability are great. I bought it with about 250 hours on it and it now has 320. Since purchasing it about 3 years ago, I've spent about $700 in maintenance (top end rebuild, fuel pump, batteries - they're mostly my fault since I don't do a good job keeping them charged). Granted, I do all my own work, so I also spent 2-3 days tearing it apart.
Coastiejoe - My aftermarket pump was about $150 and took 3-4 hours to install. So far I have two half days running on it and it runs a whole lot better! I still have a little hesitation every now and then, so I'm wondering if I should run some fuel system cleaner through it or have the injectors cleaned? I'll do some searching and then ask in the correct section of the forum before I take it out next time.
