Everything on your carbon seal and boot is how it left the factory and is perfectly fine. You can change the o-ring to the C-clip for peace of mind.

The only thing that isn't factory correct is the hose clamp on the PTO boot.

The worm clamp on the drive shaft is factory?
None of his last pictures show a hose clamp on the dirveshaft. He has two on the carbon seal boot that are factory and correct, circled in blue.

As I said in post #26 above, the ones on his PTO boot are not correct, circled in red.

Originally there was a worm clamp on the drive shaft that I removed.

Previous owner must have had slippage with the o-ring setup at one time and used the hose clamp as insurance.

I still have the o-ring setup that's working fine for close to 2 yrs (20+hrs) but seeing your post reminded me I wanted to order the clip and swap out.

Ok so got the c-clip in and installed. Feel better replacing the o ring. Also went ahead and put new seat skins on and did some painting. Also put new pads on. Took some inspiration from some photos I saw on here and had some new graphics made up. Looking better. Hopefully will get it out for a bit for a test ride in a few days.

Another thing I need to look into is the warning horn. When I put the key in I get no beep tone. Fires up fine but get nothing.

Ok so after letting the ski sit for a week I pulled the plugs and turned the motor over. No oil shot out of the cylinders. So hopefully that is a good sign and the RV is not leaking. Got my graphics installed today. Tomorrow will will work on installing my bilge pump. Maybe try and run it on the lake.
