I agree 100%. I dont like it. Way too much and jammed up. Too hard to see whats going on. Some of the stuff I like is now gone like the members list.
I updated the posts to have a very similar color scheme as the old SDF look. Should help make the threads look very similar to what they looked before.
Also, to view the member list click the community tab at top. We now have a lot more features for this.

Work'n with this now, chief....it seemed to "bleed" everything together, before.
I think that is my biggest problem with it now. It used more of the screen before. Now it just seems like there is more crammed into less space.

Also if you want the user CP just click on the tools tab that slides to the right and its all right there. This just takes a little getting used to.
So far so good, perhaps I came in after you all worked out the bugs, well excpet for rampage's bug, that thing makes me hit my screen 100 times..........-

Haven't been on for a while, but got a surprise when I logged in. The new forum setup is like other forums......too plain. The "old" way I found is what set it apart from the other forums. Easy on the eyes and more user friendly. I find the new, not so improved, but more cumbersome. The old way is what distinguished it from the rest. Just my thoughts....
Definitely appreciate the feedback. We are still working on modifying the design to best serve everyone. We had to upgrade the software, which also requires a new template, so some change is inevitable. One thing I am hearing is that many do not like the fixed width, and would rather have it fluid like the old design. While this is a major change, it is something we are going to work towards changing.
The new software, however, has MANY more features and is more complex by nature. Simplifying the layout while continuing to offer the additional features was a major concern. Below are a couple of pictures of the old vs new design cues. They really are very similar in most ways.

Just added to User Control Panel to "Forum Actions" in the nav bar. With so many things to link to, it gets a bit cumbersome up there. We are working to make it more concise and easier to navigate.
Also, many of the links you would use for options on the site are found under the Tool tab on the widget (the thing that says "welcome, user. your last visit was....")
