Neoprene Seal (Jet pump to Hull)

I ordered a neoprene seal for a 2000 GTX 155mm jet pump Part No. 293000051. I received other types of seals that look like they would work but I opted to install the older seal I had. I don't see a part number change but there is another neoprene seal Part No. 293000087 that fits 155mm seadoo pumps. Doesn't look the same but looks like it might work. I have no desire to do anything twice so I want to make sure these will work. I contacted the supplier about them.

The 293000087 part number is listed for the 2003 GTI and other 155mm two stroke skis which pretty much means to me it will fit all the rest but the seals are not the same. The new one actually looks like a better seal. I just want to make sure. Input is appreciated. The seal on the right is the older version I am used to.

Really? Those are the type I've been removing for the last 2 years. LOL

I tried the one on the left and it looked like it would work I just happened to have one more of the ones I'm used to dealing with so I installed that type on the 2000 GTX.

Looking at the one on the left... the round portion goes toward the sealing surface toward the hull correct? Help a brotha out. I just want to make sure but I actually like the sealing surface of the one on the left.

I thought the larger ring on the one on the left goes into the groove on the pump.

Honestly it's been over a year since I did one of these seals.

I have only ever seen/used the one on the left. (all 951 skis).

There are some 717 skis that use this one. I'll take a picture. I don't care which one as long as they seal.... I don't like doing it twice.

The round part goes toward the hull? Just wanna make sure. The one I currently use on the right has always been an enigma to me. LOL Plain weird design.

Don't know, only ever worked on 951s. But yes, I'm 80% sure the round part goes towards the hull.

Okie Dokie I took some pictures. The Vendor actually sent me the wrong part but is was fortutious. Happens this seal is the correct one for this pump. I took some pictures and of course I researched on the OEM parts site. Both these pumps are 155mm. The one with the seal on the top left has a different shape on the end than the older 155mm versions.

1. As removed from the ski. I think it is a 2004 GTI. I'll come back and correct the year if needed.



This is a picture of the 2004 pump with the seal mounted and I am holding the new seal next to it. So...as one would reason, the round part goes toward the hull.

This is a picture of a 155mm pump off one of the older skis. I'm not sure which model at present. Likely pre 2000 year model. This one it seams because of the lack of a step fit on the outside diameter would use the older rubber/neoprene seal.
