Figured I'd open a new thread to ask for help[ on what to do. I just found out I lost a cylinder.:banghead: I've done a little research and was talking to the mechanic about what to do. We found rebuilt engines for $845 at SBT. Seems they have a lot of good deals. Other option is to rebuild the one cylinder. Any places for good deals on parts? Any ballpark on what this will cost?? Thanks in advance.

As long as the crankshaft and lower end bearings are fine, you could just go with rebuilding the cylinders and head. I don't see how/why you'd do just one cylinder since you'll have both sides in pieces anyway.

If the bottom end shows wear problems, then a replacement engine or full rebuild would be in order.

SBT and various other on-line specialists could help you identify the parts you'd need. But don't rule out a local PWC shop for some hands-on advice....especially if after the teardown you see something you need another pair of eyes to look at.
