Does anyone know someone that is willing to work on my 1994 sea doo xp jet ski in or around the San Antonio, Tx area?

If you tell us what you want done we could probably talk you through anything and do it yourself.

I want my jet ski to start. I believe I may have an electrical issue first. When I try to start the ski, nothing happens. No clicking or anything. I just replaced my solenoid. I was told I may have a problem with my ground wire. I don't know if I put them on correctly. On the solenoid, I have 5 wires grounded on to of each other on one of the solenoid bolts.

You can get repair manuals off the Internet for free. It would have wiring diagram in it. Got a friend that can wrench? Case of beer can go a long way. Get it running they can join in the fun.

I am not familiar with that older style of solenoid but it looks like you are missing a connection on the other small lug next to the one with the black/white wire. The way it works is a small current circuit energizes the solenoid through the two small lugs which pulls down a big contact connecting the two big red battery cables. Since yours only has a wire connected to one side of the small circuit it probably can't close the big one.

That's the thing. I'm not sure how it's suppose to look. There are about 4-5 wires that are not connected to anything. They are all male wires with 1 female connector available.

Time to go to the manual. It's hard to find a service place. If the girls can't scan it, they are at a lost to what to do, to fix it. Anything older then 2005 they will be lost. They just throw parts at it!

RodInEscondido Rod we need your assistance. Rod it the man on these older models.

Looking at the wiring diagram in the 94' service manual that you can download for free yours looks different from the diagram. It looks like your electronic module doesn't have enough connections. Are we 100% sure yours is a 1994 XP?

I would like to very this back in the water Before summer is over
Post a picture of the whole doo... maybe from the looks people can tell if it's 94 or 95. The 94 was mostly green and white, the 95 with the 717 was mostly yellow and white. Actually a pic of the engine would work as well... 94 is the 657 and 95 is the 720. If it's a 95 i have one in my garage i can open up and post a pic for you. The front cylinder has 25 PSI and the rear is 125, so it's not going back on the lake anytime soon and may end up getting parted out.
