I have a 1998 GTX Limited (Carb) and here is the issue I am having:
Machine runs great for 30-45 minutes then begin to lose power to the point it will run for a few seconds then die. It will immediately start back up, so, in theory, the battery is not being drained and fuel supply is fine.
Here is what has been done to the unit:
Carbs rebuilt with OSD kits.
All fuel lines have been replaced.
Fuel selector has been replaced.
Fuel drained and replaced with ethanol free fuel.
Fuel/water separator/filter has been cleaned.
In addition (not related to the issue, I believe):
Exhaust gasket kit installed.
All new oil lines and filter. I am running pre-mix. Oil tank has been replaced as well.
Raves have been cleaned. New O-rings have been installed.
Compression is fine. (Not tested with cheap Habor Freight unit)
Based upon research I'm thinking Stator issue as the unit begins to deteriorate over time while running. Before I replace the Stator, I figured I would ask others for their opinions. Any suggestions for possible causes are greatly appreciated.
