Decided I was tired of listening to just wind while out on the water, and installed a Dual 3 inch head unit with 2 6 inch Dual speakers. The head unit is rated 240 watts and draws 0 amps when off. Another issue that bothered me was the mounting locations everyone was using. I decided to relocate items as needed until I was happy with something that worked for me. The current location allows not me but my passengers to access the unit with ease. The stereo runs off a second deep cycle battery and after 30 mins of run time pulled .05v, pretty impressive. Lastly, I needed it to be easily removable as my boat sits in a public storage area. Yes, its in a gated area but you never know who is coming in and out of those lots. Enjoy!

$20 Dual Speakers from West Marine

$100 Dual Radio ordered from Ebay

Location chosen for the radio.

Where the DSS is being relocated to.

Orginally was going to do trailer connections for the quick disconnect but decided against it.

Used Delphi weather connections instead, much easier to work with.

Dual Test Fit

I found using a small drill bit was easiest to cut out the 6 inch holes, my dremel didn't like the fiberglass at all. But was good for smoothing and getting the hole matched precisely.

Speakers wired up and weather proofed.

We have have power and sound!

Bus bar for the new LED rocker switches, replaced those ugly turn knobs.

Location for the LED rockers, notice there are now 4 switches. Decided to run the Nav and Moored lights separately.

I've got more pics on the way, but because of duty this weekend the boat was put on hold. My starter and choke cable have been relocated as well.
