Can you reprogram an MPEM and lanyard removed from the ski. Just the MPEM only not the whole box or ski?

The MPEM programmer they use for programming has a lanyard type attachment that connects to your post on your ski. I don't know if you can pull it from your ski to do the reprogram. My first guess would be that you could not. You may try giving a local Sea-Doo dealer in your area a call and see what they say. Here in Alabama, buying a lanyard and having it programmed runs about $70 dollars.......I can only imagine what that would cost in N.Y.............
I sent you email cause I had some questions why you think your lanyard cap is bad...........

My local dealer tells me that it should be in the seadoo so they can have all the circuits connected and check it from there.
