Wondering what rattle can paints others have used that match the factory white and silver motor colors

The factory white match is Valspar light dune at Lowe’s. The silver is Moeller Honda Oyster Silver.

So that light dune, will it work on pretty much all mod 90’s sea doos’s?

Yes but it is a flat paint so make sure you cover it with Valspar gloss clear.

Here is my HX with the Valspar paints.

Are these colors available in rattle can? Or are you using a spray gun with it?

The only thing I can find on lowes' site in spray can is Riviera Dune.

Also
That’s correct for the purple pipes and water boxes. Not the engines. But good catch Gary.

What is the correct purple for the engines?

The motors were never painted purple, only the exhaust

I just recently purchased a magneto cover which I think was listed as being from 96 gsx. It is purple and I have been considering just painting the rest of the engine that color.

maybe it was painted by someone aftermarket?

Someone must have painted it. 1996 GSX would have had the white motor with purple exhaust

I’ve purchased the sumptuous purple from Lowe’s, it’s in a rattle can. You can also get the light dune from Lowe’s also I’m the rattle can, they’re both in valspar. I’m still searching out the oyster silver in s can somewhere.....

It will be a tad too silver at first. Let it cure a few days, spray it down with Seadoo lube let it be and it will "stain" it. I always go a shade lighter than the aged paint that is on the engine so when it cover it with lube is looks dead on.

Seems like the easier route. I have been scouring the internet looking for oyster silver with no luck. Closest thing I can find is Oyster bay which looks to be more of a grey then silver.

I was able to find the sumptuous purple from lowes. However common sense kicked in and I realized it'd be a better idea to make the engine a light color.

I ended up using Rustoleum high performance enamel aluminum 7515. Not an exact match but really close, and at $5 a can and available from the local hardware store, its close enough for me. Motor on the right is painted with the Rustoleum, motor on the left is factory Seadoo
