Modified Pump Grate

Hi guys, I bought a Seadoo GTI 130 from the watersports association. They have replaced the pump grate with a stainless steel one. As they also do rescue missions, they have probably also replaced it for this reason. It looks very well made. However, I wonder whether enough water can flow through it? I have not yet been able to test the jet here in Germany. It's still far too cold.
What do you think? Should I leave it in or buy the original one?
Can it cause problems with the cooling?
It's made to a high standard, just not as open as the original.

Thanks for answering.
Willy

It should be fine for a 130. I would test it when it warms up and make sure it will reach a top speed of around 88kph in smooth water in sport mode with quick acceleration and no cavitation.
