Suke is there a place that could hold/host a large gathering? Cabins that are in close proximity to each other? Good water access? And ok with hosting a large group of 2 stroke riders?

Members Unite! May-June TN or KY ride!

We need to decide if we plan for this one to be a guys only ride again, which turned out great. Or if this one will be a family event

There's tons of houses to rent and all that I've looked at have lifts and docks. It'd be super easy to rent a bunch of places right together. Mpowers place is huge and he's said before he'd host.

The only issue with a house that we have discussed is parking for everyone's cars and trailers

C'mon, south of the Mason Dixon line everyone just parks in their front yard. J/K

They have hotels as well, but the trailer issue is easy to sort.

Considering the last one was "central east coast" ride down in GA (very south IMO, lol) the more "central" we can get here would be great. Just sayin... not trying to exclude anyone or make harder for others but id love to be able to make this one. Id be making the hike from jersey.

I am fine with making any distance drive as long as it helps the greater cause of getting as many members as possible to the ride. racerxxx has to attend with those show room skis. I know Dr Honda has not been around in the 2 stroke section as much but it would be awesome to have him attend. LouDoo is a must! Haha

We got to have a better opening post for this thread. This has to be really thought out and planned accordingly. The last ride was a great success but we were hoping for an "epic haha" 2 stroke ride this summer with a bunch of the key players that have been the backbone of this forum for many many years.

I agree and I like the centralization. I shall start an another post where we can zone in on the time and location.

I think a poll thread that Matt Braley suggested is a great idea. Throw several popular locations discussed on it and let's see what the results are

One thing I have not seen mentioned, this is peak season so reservations will need to be made way in advance. We also need to check into getting a group rate since there will be multiple rentals.

Like I said in the other post, Lake Norman is a great lake. Plenty of stuff to do on and off the water. It is a pretty busy lake but IMO that's a good thing. Tons of big boats to jump and a lot of local riders around here. The Sunday buoy course generally brings out 20+ skis. And for the slower guys theres tons of stuff you can putt around and sight see all day.

I think we need to lock this thread down and switch over to the new thread started for planning the ride. Once we narrow down the location and date we can have Matt start a members unite thread with the info for members to attend. That way we are all on the same page and not going back and fourth between 2 threads. Thoughts??

Yes, that was the plan, and that's why I had the "Member's Unite" removed from the thread title. Admin, feel free to lock it at any point.

as I said in the other thread, I have no knowledge of the area except that i've passed through, I think y'all have the basic's narrowed down as far as criteria, (cabins/cost/waterfront/lots of water) and for me its really just driving distance and work schedule (I'm pretty dam flexible with a couple of weeks where I just can't simply break away)

So i'll just take a back seat and let you fella's finalize the date/location, then if I can make it I will.

If y'all can pull off more than 2 dozen ski's that would be awesome !

honestly I've made quite a few group rides and once you get over about 15 it's like herding cats out on the water.

This one i would be in for. As long as the drive is within reason for me (I'm basically just west of Racer). I know its a little ways off but i would love to see everyone's ski's.

Haha id love it. But somehow I feel unrealistic for most.

no reason why the NE peeps can't organize a local ride, heck, I plan on putting together a couple of florida one day rides over the next few months where I extend the invite over to the forum member along with my local peeps.
